We’re working to raise money to buy the Bird in Hand pub for the benefit of Henstridge, villagers and visitors alike.

The pub is one of the central points of the village, lying about halfway between the church, the shop and the village hall. People drop in for lunch during the week, or for a drink after work. In the evening there are darts, skittles and board games on different evenings and, on Saturday, sport on the big screen. Once a month we have a Quiz Night to raise money for local causes and the pub hosts live music on a regular basis.
You might be wondering why our fundraising target has changed on this page. We felt it would be better to show how much we need in the near future in share investments to enable us to open negotiations to buy the pub. As you can see, we’re very nearly there. Can you help? All the details about investing shares is on the Share Issue page including access to the Prospectus and Application Form as well as answers to the questions we have been asked most often about the project. Please help us save The Bird in Hand!
